Verified ReviewerCollector for a predator lender
Preferred solution: release me from contract without a nondisclosure agreement
Check your contract and check with your state
User's recommendation: Monterey Financial works with predatory lenders to collect money due. Many of the contracts have an arbratration clause. This is how they get you. BUT many of the lenders are not licensed to do business in your state and each state has their own banking laws and limits. Some state laws have a clause that makes the "contract" invalid if the lenders is not licensed in their state. Pay perticular attention to online financing laws for your state.
Poor customer service, not communication
Preferred solution: Pay the company direct without going through doxo or other websites which charge absorbent fees.

Verified ReviewerDON'T GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY
I bought a desert eagle from Budsgun shop using credova credit company. They offered 90 days interest free and I accepted because I knew I would have paid it off within time given me.
Next thing I know, I got an email from Monterey financial two months ago stating that they now have my account. No big deal, I thought! I was going to pay $1878.15 with no interest. They deducted $194 each month for two months.
I went through my emails this morning to find their information to the pay off $1491, and to my amazement, I saw that I owed 2001.95 instead. I am calling first thing in the morning to speak with customer services from both companies (Credova and Monterey) to pay the 1491 and not a penny more.
They have met with the RIGHT person. They have to take the money I rightfully owe them and have it as paid in full, or not get paid at all.
Preferred solution: I don't owe any interest

" DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING" What is it, you signed something or you didn't? What do you mean it "turns out" your rate is 17%?
Here's the thing, you didn't bother to READ or UNDERSTAND the terms and now want to whine.
If you didn't sign anything, you wouldn't have been making payments. Typical serial deadbeat noise.
