Monterey Financial Services - Late Fees on a payment that is not yet due!
Have been forced into business with this company through MyPetFunding, which apparently has Monterey service the accounts (more like sells the contract to Monterey). I am still in disbelief as to how I went from purchasing a dog to signing a lease for a dog and dealing with what is primarily a debt collection agency.
What is to be my first payment to Monterey has accumulated $105 to $120 in "late fees" I can't be sure to the actual number since they do not show any of these transactions where each payment with a card has been denied and between the website and the scammers or the "customer service reps" I get a different number almost everyday.
There is also no written amount for payoff available I can only get it verbally from calling. Once I reread the contract the funded amount went from $1815 to $1872 between paying for the dog and leaving, which is basically how the amount accumulates, without reason.
Reason of review: Pricing issue.
Monetary Loss: $5229.
Preferred solution: Price reduction.
Monterey Financial Services Cons: Unethical practices, Undeclared balance amount, Crap website, Non disclosure of actual terms, Illusive calculation of amounts owed.

I have had the same issues with Monterey Financial. The fail to provide account numbers and access to your account online. Information regarding my account was different depending on whom I spoke with.I requested payment history and account information multiple times with no compliance.
A payment finally went through on their crap portal. THAT showed up in the payment history tab.
Yet none of the supposed 8 other 'denied' transactions showed up. One representative said they would mail the transaction history to me, so I suppose I'll wait 7-10 business days before I call them back when I do not receive that either.
